a few of my fav pink lippys!

Welcome back my lovelies! (Or hello to anyone who’s just discovered my blog!)

So I did a poll on my Instagram (linked here if you fancy a follow!) on what blog post you guys would like to see next and it was a close call between my new favourite makeup remover and a post on pink lippys, but the pink lippys just took it! So here we go..

Jeffree Star Cosmetics – Doll Parts

Now inevitably there’s going to be at least one Jeffree Star lipstick when I’m reviewing lipsticks, so we may as well start off there! The first one I want to talk about is ‘Doll Parts’. It is the most gorgeous cool toned pink liquid lipstick, the colour gives me complete Mean Girls vibes every time I see it. The formula goes on opaque, dries down completely matte and lasts for hours! The coverage with only one swipe of the wand is unbelievable, you really don’t need a lot of product for a full coverage lip so they last a substantial amount of time saving you money! Something I love about this colour is that it is so versatile, it works on any skin tone and is just so wearable. This shade of pink can be easily worn on a day to day basis and is one hundred percent a staple in my kit.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics – Prom Night

The next (and last) Jeffree Star lippy I want to talk about is ‘Prom Night’. It is a beautiful bright matte pink shade which is definitely not for the faint hearted! Just like the other matte liquid lips in the collection, this one also goes on opaque and dries down to a matte. ‘Prom Night’ brings such a gorgeous burst of colour to a makeup look and all eyes go straight for it! Even though the formula dries down matte it is still very hydrating and doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry or cracked. If you already do or you’re thinking about wearing brighter coloured lipstick this shade is definitely a great place to start, it’s a stunning colour that’ll make you feel powerful.

Ted Baker – Treasured Treats

The next lippy is one from the brand Ted Baker. This brand isn’t necessarily known for their makeup products but these lippys are so beautiful, they’re a must have! Not only is the colour stunning, but the packaging and all round aesthetic of this lippy is beautiful. The lipstick itself has a ‘T’ etched into the top and I’m so here for it. This specific shade is a beautiful light pink shade that reminds me a lot of candyfloss, it’s glossy and gorgeous! The formula of this lipstick is very creamy and feels amazing on the lips. These lipsticks are so hydrating and pigmented, the colour payoff is brilliant. I mentioned this in my ‘red lipsticks‘ post, the only thing that baffles me about these lipsticks is the fact they don’t have individual names, when buying a lipstick I like to be able to find out what that specific colour is called. Regardless of the name fiasco, these lipsticks are definitely worth a try. Not only are they beautiful to look at but the colour is also beautiful.

Huda Beauty – Gossip Gurl

The next pink lippy is by the brand Huda Beauty and it’s called ‘Gossip Gurl’. I’d describe this colour as a very cute and bold pink colour, but don’t take bold in the wrong way! What I mean by that is it’s a very classic pink and is very wearable, I have tried it on a lot of skin tones and it seems to suit everyone! Something I love about the Huda liquid mattes is that they’re so comfortable to wear, the formula dries down completely matte but still feels extremely hydrating and doesn’t dry out the lips at all. Saying this, they also last all day without the need to reapply, something that is hard to perfect when the formula is so hydrating! The packaging is also so cute, the frosty looking glass just looks so sophisticated and is enough to draw anybody in! This lipstick is a definite must have!

Maybelline – 157, More to Adore

Another pink lippy I love is from Maybelline. It is shade no.157 ‘More to Adore’ from their ‘coloursensational’ range. This formula is sooo incredibly creamy, it feels like an absolute dream on the lips. It is so hydrating and nourishing, because of this it is not a heavy formula and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any product which is refreshing. Not only this, but the formula is nicely pigmented which means the colour payoff is definitely worth trying. This shade is a light baby pink that looks pretty glossy. The shade is very versatile but is more suited to people with lighter skin tones as, though the formula is pigmented, it is more sheer than some of the other brands’ lipsticks above. If you like a more subtle pink lipstick I’d definitely suggest giving this one a go!

Rimmel – Kate Moss, 101

The last lippy I want to talk about is from Rimmel. It is one of the shades from their ‘lasting finish’ collaboration with Kate Moss and is shade no.101. It is a very light pink shade, probably the lightest pink shade I own, but nonetheless is very beautiful. This is a perfect shade for people who like wearing lipstick but don’t want to wear anything heavy or with lots of colour. The feel of the formula is very lightweight and hydrating and it says on for a decent amount of time. Application is so easy as it just glides across the lips. I’d definitely recommend trying out this lippy and adding it to your collection because the formula is amazing, especially for the price point!

So there we have it! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and that it was a helpful insight into some of my favourite pink lipsticks! what are some of your favs? let me know!

Until next time lovelies.. x
