Juvia’s Place ‘Saharan Blush Vol.II’ Palette – review and swatches!

I know what you’re thinking.. Sophie, another Juvia’s Place review?! This brand is just too irresistible! I’ve finally got my hands on the ‘Saharan II Blush’ palette, one I’ve had my eye on for a while now. Juvia’s did come out with a volume I of their blush palette but upon seeing the range of shades in the promo pics I wasn’t convinced they would look great on my skin tone as I have pretty fair skin. So, when the promos were released for the volume II palette I was soooo happy. Right, let’s dive into this review!

If you’ve read my other Juvia’s reviews (you can get to them here and here), you’ll know that I love this brand. One of the main reasons I think their products are so great is the fact they are extremely pigmented. One swipe in the pan and your brush is covered in product! I love pigmented products because not only are they easier to work with but they also last a lot longer meaning you’re getting good value for your money. Speaking of money, the blush palette retails in the UK for £20 (you can get it from beautybay.com). I think this is a decent price for what you get, there are six shades in the palette, four matte and two metallic, and as I mentioned previously they are very pigmented! I also love this price point as the palette is very diverse, not only can you use it as blush but you can also use the shades as eyeshadow or even as highlight.

The colour selection in the palette is absolutely beautiful. As I mentioned there are four matte shades and two metallic shades. Now, usually when swatching new products I find that there is a least one shade I struggle with, but I am happy to announce all six shades swatched like an absolute dream! The formula of these blushes is so creamy and easy to blend on the skin.

‘Yara’ – a light brown matte shade with subtle orange undertones, I mainly use this shade as an eyeshadow colour in my crease when doing darker, smokier looks.

‘Bee’ – a matte cool pink-toned/mauve shade, I really like this shade for a lid colour.

‘Zoba’ – a metallic light pink shade with a gold duo chrome effect, this is my favourite shade in the palette to use as a highlight, both on my cheeks and in my inner corner to complete any eyeshadow look.

‘Sola’ – a metallic rose toned pink shade again with a gold duo chrome effect similar to ‘Zoba’, I like this shade more as eyeshadow than blush as I think it is slightly too dark for my skin tone unless I’m more tanned.

‘Leena’ – a matte coral tones pink shade, definitely my favourite and most used in the palette. I love this colour as it goes incredibly well with my skin tone and gives my cheeks the exact pop of colour that I adore.

‘Tau’ – a matte bright peachy orange toned shade that again I love using on the apples of my cheeks. It is significantly darker than ‘Leena’ but I enjoy mixing the two shades together to create my own custom blush shade!

I have been using the palette non-stop ever since I got my hands on it. The high-quality of these formulas keeps me coming back for more and is going to make it verrry difficult for me to find another blush formula on par with this one. If you don’t really wear blush and are thinking of trying it out, or if you already do and want to try something new and switch up your normal routine, I would one hundred percent recommend this palette as a place to start! All in all, as you can probably tell, I love this palette and it’s definitely won me over! What are some of your favourite blushes?
